Bentley unveils its first Torcal electric crossover in Crewe — Motor1
In Crewe, United Kingdom, Bentley showed journalists its first electric vehicle — the mid-size Torcal crossover. The model is built on a platform shared with the Porsche Cayenne Electric. Bentley positions it as a new entry point to the brand’s model range, Motor1 reports.
Power and charging
The base version of the Torcal will have around 810 hp, while the S variant will have 876 hp. According to Bentley, acceleration to 60 mph, or approximately 97 km/h, will take 3.4 seconds for the standard model and 2.9 seconds for the S.
The claimed range is 375 miles, or about 604 km, on the WLTP cycle. Bentley also expects that under the U.S. EPA cycle, the vehicle will be able to travel more than 300 miles. The manufacturer says the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 16 minutes at a compatible DC fast-charging station.
The Torcal will receive the Active Ride chassis used on the Cayenne Electric. Bentley noted that the system’s settings are primarily focused on comfortable long-distance travel rather than maximum sporty handling.

Equipment and design
The crossover will feature an automatic reversing and parking system capable of remembering the last 500 meters of a route. It can be programmed, for example, to independently travel from a garage entrance to a designated parking space.
For the electric vehicle’s sound accompaniment, Bentley recorded drummers performing an irregular rhythm that imitates the firing order of a V8 engine’s cylinders. This sound will play at idle and intensify under load.
The Torcal’s exterior uses a vertical grille with illuminated crystal-like elements. The interior will feature leather trim, layered wood veneer, or carbon fiber in the S version. The model will also receive automotive-grade merino wool and a curved glass display with Bentley software. There will be no separate screen for the front passenger: Bentley product line director Martin Page explained that technology should be beneficial and should not dominate interaction with the vehicle.
The Torcal’s starting price in the United Kingdom will be £165,000, while the S version will cost £200,000.
