March in Kyiv was the driest in 135 years
March 2026 in Kyiv set a weather record that had not been recorded since 1891.

Only 1 mm of precipitation fell in the capital—about 3% of the climate norm.
At the same time, the average monthly temperature was 6.7°C, which is 4.2°C above normal.

This March also ranked among the four warmest on record.
The coldest day was March 1, when the temperature dropped to -1.6°C.
The warmest day was recorded on March 27, when the air warmed up to +17.8°C.
