A former employee of the Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Municipal Security has been notified of suspicion of abuse of office. According to the investigation, the city’s budget suffered losses of nearly 1.7 million hryvnias due to the purchase of construction materials at inflated prices.
According to the investigation, in November–December 2025, the Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Municipal Security purchased lumber, boards, and moisture-resistant plywood from a private company for renovation work.

The official responsible for organizing and conducting the procurement failed to ensure proper monitoring of current market prices.
As a result, according to the investigation, the construction materials were purchased at an inflated price.
An expert examination determined that, due to the overpricing of the goods, the city budget lost nearly 1.7 million hryvnias.
The former department employee was charged under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—abuse of official position resulting in serious consequences.
The penalty under this article provides for up to six years of imprisonment, as well as possible disqualification from holding certain positions.
However, the final legal assessment of the official’s actions must be made by a court.
