Zelenskyy commented on Russia's massive attack on Kyiv

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the Russian strike on Kyiv, which killed four people and wounded seven others, including a child. According to him, Russian attacks are increasingly targeting not only military facilities but also ordinary civilian infrastructure and businesses.

 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the Russian attack on Kyiv on September 25. He reported that four people were killed as a result of the strike on an office building. The president also thanked the emergency services working at the scene of the strike and assisting the victims. Separately, Zelenskyy confirmed that a Russian drone struck a warehouse used by McDonald’s. According to him, the strike targeted a facility where ordinary food products were stored. “A drone strike against ordinary food products. The Russians are constantly expanding their escalation campaign: American and other businesses, data centers, internet providers—every aspect of everyday life is simply a target for Russia,” the president stated.

Zelenskyy added that such attacks affect people’s daily lives. In particular, damage to civilian infrastructure can cause problems with communication, work, and education. “All of this undermines people’s ability to stay connected, study, and work,” the head of state noted.

 

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is awaiting the international community’s response to the Russian strikes. “It is important that the world respond to all of this and that Russia feel the consequences of its terror,” the president wrote.

He also stated that, in his view, Ukraine’s long-range weapons and international sanctions should impose concrete consequences on Russia. “Our long-range capabilities and the world’s sanctions must work together toward this very goal—to impose concrete consequences on Russia,” Zelenskyy concluded.
