The Kyiv commuter rail loop suspended service due to the threat of shelling
Due to an elevated air threat in Kyiv, Kyiv City Express train service has been temporarily suspended in both directions. Service on the loop line will resume once the air raid alert has ended.
The decision to suspend service was made on the instructions of the Ukrzaliznytsia monitoring group. Passengers were urged to take shelter or remain at least 200 meters away from railway infrastructure during security stops. Train service on the circular line will resume once the air threat has passed.
As early as July 24, Kyiv City Express warned that forced stops of the circular commuter train were possible during air raid alerts in the capital. The carrier explained that this decision was due to targeted Russian strikes on infrastructure and the need to ensure passenger safety.
It was noted that after receiving the “green light” from the monitoring group, trains would resume service and attempt to catch up with the schedule. Passengers were urged to follow the instructions of railway staff during such stops.

Traffic has been temporarily blocked on three streets in Kyiv.
