In Kyiv, the reconstruction of the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital, which was damaged by a Russian missile strike in July 2024, has been fully completed.

The repair and restoration of the complex’s five buildings, including the treatment and diagnostic center, took two years and cost 272.1 million hryvnias, raised through the “Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood” charitable foundation.

The bidding process was conducted through the Prozorro system, which allowed for cost savings compared to the originally planned amount. Despite complications caused by constant Russian shelling, power outages, and weather conditions, the builders fully restored the patient rooms, operating rooms, intensive care units, and examination rooms, and also renovated the facade, windows, doors, and floors, returning the medical facility to full operation.

This was reported by the publication “UP. Life,” citing a statement by the hospital’s CEO, Oleksandr Urin.

An officer involved in the shelling of Okhmatdyt was shot in Russia.

Two hybrid photovoltaic power stations have been installed in the modern treatment and diagnostic wing of the “Okhmatdyt” National Children’s Specialized Hospital in Kyiv
