Kyivteploenergo overpaid by more than 900,000 hryvnias on the purchase of building materials

An indictment has been filed against the head of a department at Kyivteploenergo for professional negligence during the repair of heating networks in Troyeshchyna. 

According to the Kyiv Police on March 30, 2026, the official approved financial documentation containing inflated prices for asphalt concrete and gravel-sand mixtures. The investigation established that the improper performance of duties led to an overpayment from the capital’s budget in the amount of over 900,000 hryvnias, with the total cost of the work amounting to approximately 9.4 million hryvnias.

The suspect failed to verify the validity of the material costs, which served as grounds for charging her under Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation has now been completed, and the case materials have been forwarded for trial. The defendant faces a sentence of up to five years in prison. Law enforcement officials note that the charges were filed last summer, and all circumstances surrounding the damage caused to the municipal enterprise have now been established.

The Dnipro District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv has filed an indictment against the chief engineer of the municipal enterprise “Darnitske Forest Park Management” for professional negligence during the procurement of a wood splitter.
