The Kyiv City State Administration has denied rumors that people were barred from entering the subway during the nighttime attack

The Kyiv City State Administration has denied reports circulating on social media claiming that people were allegedly barred from entering the capital’s metro system during the nighttime attack on July 30.

The administration explained that the widely circulated video shows the entrance to an industrial facility, not a metro station. The building in question is not a shelter and does not appear on the capital’s official map of shelters.

The Kyiv City State Administration urged Kyiv residents and the media to rely only on verified sources and not to spread misinformation that sows panic. City officials reminded the public that the current map of shelters is available on the city’s website and in the “Kyiv Digital” app. If you find a shelter that is closed during an alert, you should immediately call 101, 102, or the city service at 1551.

As a reminder, on the night of July 30, Russian forces carried out one of the largest combined attacks on Ukraine, using over 70 missiles and more than 280 attack drones. Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as the Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, came under fire.

In Poland, during the massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine on the night of July 30, an air raid alert was issued in part of the Lublin Voivodeship. After the alert ended, a crater about 10 meters in diameter and debris from an unidentified object were discovered in a field near the villages of Tarnava-Kolonia and Tokary.
