Kyiv City Express has changed its route due to infrastructure damage following an overnight attack
In Kyiv, infrastructure at the "Mykilska Slobidka" station was damaged during an overnight attack by the Russian Federation. As a result, the Kyiv City Express is operating on a limited loop, bypassing the section between the "Darnitsa" and "Pochayna" stations.
According to a statement by JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” (UZ) on its Telegram channel on Thursday, it will take one day to restore the infrastructure of the circular commuter train line.
“Windows and doors on the electric train, at the depot, and at several other UZ facilities have been damaged, but we will repair all of this,” the company added.
It is noted that before dawn, a Russian UAV also attacked the train station building in Berestyn (Kharkiv region), resulting in significant damage to the premises.
Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized that passengers and station employees were in shelters at the time of the strike. As of now, an inspection of the damaged infrastructure is underway, but train service to Berestyn has not been canceled.
Among other things, Ukrainian Railways noted delays in the schedules of certain trains, specifically No. 7/8 Odesa — Kharkiv and No. 53/54 Dnipro — Odesa, which will travel via a safer alternate route, increasing the estimated travel time by more than 6 hours.
As of 8:52 a.m., Train No. 285/286 Lviv–Dnipro-Holovnyi has the longest delay—8 hours and 9 minutes—while Train No. 7/8 Odesa-Holovna–Kharkiv-Pas. is delayed by 7 hours, and trains No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia-1–Przemyśl and No. 3/4 Dnipro-Holovnyi–Uzhhorod are delayed by 6 hours and 40 minutes.

On September 15, a Russian drone strike was recorded in Kyiv’s Svyatoshynskyi district. Black smoke is rising from the site.
In the Solomyanskyi district of the capital, a strike was recorded on the grounds of a garage cooperative.
