Massive attack on Kyiv: casualties and destruction in Svyatoshynsky district
On the night of 25 November, the Svyatoshynsky district of Kyiv was hit by a large-scale Russian attack, resulting in a massive crater and at least four deaths.
Information on the dead and injured comes from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Rescuers, police, and emergency teams are actively working at the scene, assisting victims and managing the aftermath.
The strike also damaged energy facilities, causing power and water outages in several areas of the capital. Currently, 14 people have been reported injured, including a child. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to exercise caution, as the missile strike also triggered fires in residential buildings.
Work to restore infrastructure and provide aid to affected residents will continue over the coming days. Fifty-seven people have already received psychological support, and rescuers emphasise the need for ongoing safety measures amid the persistent threat.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga described Russia’s night-time attacks with drones and multiple types of missiles on Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine as a “terrorist response” to peace proposals from the United States and former President Donald Trump.
As a result of the strike on the capital, six people were killed and 13 others injured, including one child. Rescuers evacuated 18 victims and provided psychological assistance to 57 residents.
