A massive fire in the Kyiv region engulfed a warehouse near the capital
A massive fire broke out in the Brovary District of Kyiv Oblast on March 22, with smoke from the blaze blanketing a large part of the capital.

The fire broke out in the immediate vicinity of the Troyeshchyna neighborhood in Kyiv, causing panic among local residents due to a massive column of black smoke.
The epicenter of the emergency was a single-story warehouse building, where the fire began to spread rapidly throughout the entire facility.
“Black smoke is billowing into the sky,” reports a TSN.ua correspondent from the scene, noting that the scale of the fire continues to grow.
As of 4:05 p.m., rescue units from the State Emergency Service of the Kyiv region and the capital are working in high gear to contain the fire.
“A fire broke out in a warehouse in the Brovary district. Our units are currently on site,” the regional State Emergency Service officially reported.
The difficulty in extinguishing the fire lies in the large area affected and the unknown contents of the warehouses, which could pose an additional environmental hazard.
Experts are currently determining exactly what goods or materials were stored in the building in order to adjust firefighting methods.
Additional forces from Kyiv have been deployed to address the emergency.
“Firefighting equipment and personnel from the Kyiv State Emergency Service have been deployed to the scene,” according to a statement from rescue workers who are trying to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring buildings.
As a reminder, an oil refinery in Saratov has been burning for two days following a drone attack.
Additionally, a fire broke out on the first floor of a four-story office building on Khreshchatyk Street in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv.
