In the Kyiv region, a man opened fire from the window of a high-rise building
In the town of Yahotyn, Boryspil District, a local resident fired shots from the window of his apartment, damaging a car parked in the courtyard. Law enforcement officers quickly apprehended the man.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast.
The incident occurred on May 28 at approximately 3:16 p.m. A woman contacted the police, stating that her neighbor had fired a shotgun directly from the window of a high-rise building.
The shot damaged the complainant’s car, which was parked near the building. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Officers from the Yahotyn Police Department arrived at the scene and detained the shooter in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators opened a criminal case regarding the incident under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—“Hooliganism.”
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway. The man faces three to seven years in prison for his actions.
Earlier in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a 39-year-old serviceman who was on special military service and opened fire in a residential high-rise building. The incident occurred in the Desnianskyi district. According to preliminary data, the man fired shots at military personnel, after which he was detained.

Law enforcement officers used their service firearms to repel an attack during a call in the village of Seredniy Bereziv, Kosiv District. The incident occurred after medical personnel complained about the aggressive behavior of an unknown individual who threatened them with violence.
