Air quality has deteriorated in three cities in the Kyiv region
A temporary deterioration in air quality has been recorded in the towns of Ivankiv, Vyshhorod, and Brovary in Kyiv Oblast. This is evidenced by the results of round-the-clock monitoring.
According to the results of average daily observations from monitoring stations, the main pollutant, present in moderate concentrations, is fine particulate matter.
Experts note that such concentrations of fine particulate matter may cause minor breathing discomfort in people who are sensitive to irritants.
Until the situation improves, residents are advised to:
- keep windows closed;
- limit prolonged time outdoors if possible;
- drink plenty of water;
- if you have an air purifier, use it at maximum power.
At the same time, in most settlements in the Kyiv region where monitoring is conducted, no exceedances of permissible levels of chemical and biological substances in the ambient air have been recorded.
Furthermore, gamma radiation levels in the Kyiv region correspond to natural background levels.
Experts continue to monitor air quality and changes in indicators in the region around the clock.
