A temporary decline in air quality was recorded in the Kyiv region
On the morning of September 15, air pollution was recorded in several cities in the Kyiv region. The deterioration in air quality is temporary.
According to monitoring data, a temporary deterioration in air quality was observed on the morning of Tuesday, September 15, in:
in Bila Tserkva;
in Obukhov.
It is noted that in other settlements in the Kyiv region where monitoring is conducted, no exceedances of permissible levels of chemical and biological substances in the air were observed.
“Gamma radiation levels in the Kyiv region correspond to natural background levels,” the Kyiv Regional State Administration reported.
It is reported that fine particulate matter is the main source of air pollution.
It can cause breathing difficulties:
in older adults;
in people who are sensitive to irritants;
in children.
Until the situation improves, experts advise local residents to:
keep windows closed;
if possible, limit prolonged time spent outdoors;
drink plenty of water;
if you have an air purifier, use it at maximum power.
