Naftogaz will fund the restoration of the Lavra and the Dovzhenko Film Studio
The Naftogaz Group, in coordination with the government, will provide financial assistance for the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studio, which were damaged as a result of the Russian Federation’s massive attack on Kyiv on the night of June 15.
The amount of funding is currently being determined. Serhiy Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, emphasized that Russia’s attacks are directed against Ukrainian identity, so restoring what has been destroyed and preserving our heritage is only possible by uniting the efforts of the state, business, and society.
The company also called on other responsible Ukrainian businesses to join in the restoration of cultural heritage sites. Earlier on Monday, it was reported that the state-owned PrivatBank had already allocated 2 million hryvnias of its own funds for the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve and opened a special “Envelope” to collect charitable donations from the public.
As a reminder, Russia attacked the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, causing a fire.
