Kyiv police have notified participants in the armed conflict in Podil that they are under investigation
In the Podilsky district of the capital, law enforcement officers detained two men who had engaged in a shootout and a fight in the courtyard of a residential complex.

As a result of the incident, one of the participants sustained gunshot wounds, while the other suffered significant property damage.
The conflict erupted suddenly late at night on Serhiy Danchenko Street, where an argument broke out between two local residents.
During the altercation, a 43-year-old Kyiv resident pulled out a gun and fired several shots at his opponent.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, sustained serious injuries to his leg and abdomen. Despite his injuries, he began kicking the attacker’s car, causing significant mechanical damage to the vehicle.
Patrol police crews, an investigative team from the local unit, and a medical team arrived at the scene promptly.
Doctors provided the necessary medical care to the injured man, and law enforcement officers detained both parties involved in the incident in accordance with legal procedures.
Investigators examined the area and collected physical evidence, including spent shell casings, which have already been sent for forensic analysis. Experts are tasked with determining the type of weapon used during the commission of the offense.
The shooter’s actions have been classified by law enforcement authorities under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—hooliganism committed with the use of a firearm.
He faces a lengthy prison sentence for endangering others.
The other participant in the conflict also did not escape responsibility for his actions. His actions were classified under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for damaging another person’s property and disturbing public order.
Currently, both suspects have been officially notified of their status as suspects in criminal offenses. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are establishing all the details and circumstances that led to the outbreak of violence in the residential neighborhood.
