Train service on the Blue Line of the Kyiv Metro has resumed
The Kyiv Metro municipal enterprise has fully restored train service on the Obolonsko-Teremkivska (“blue”) subway line following an unscheduled 15-minute stoppage.
The delay in the schedule occurred due to an unauthorized entry by a passenger into the underground tunnel at the "Palats "Ukraina" station.
Currently, station complexes and tracks are operating normally to ensure passenger flow.
The emergency prompted an immediate response from railway services and a temporary power cut to the tracks for safety reasons.
Specialists responded promptly to the alarm and took all necessary measures to remove the intruder from the danger zone.
Company officials promptly informed residents and visitors to the capital about the current situation on social media.
“Train service on the ‘blue’ metro line has resumed. Due to an unauthorized passenger entering the tunnel at the ‘Palats Ukraina’ station, there was a delay in train service of up to 15 minutes,” the metro service stated in a message.
