The court returned two docks in Podil to the state
Two hydraulic structures in Kyiv’s Podilskyi District have been returned to state ownership. The investigation established that in 2021, officials of a private company registered ownership of these piers on the banks of the Dnipro River using forged documents.
The company’s director was charged under Part 3 of Article 206-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unlawful appropriation of property). During the pretrial investigation, the suspect voluntarily returned the hydraulic structures to the state.
Currently, detectives from the Kyiv City Branch of the Bureau of Economic Security have completed the investigation, and prosecutors from the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office have filed an indictment against the company’s director with the court. The official faces 5 to 10 years of imprisonment, along with confiscation of property and disqualification from holding certain positions for up to 3 years.

Earlier, the Court of Appeals overturned an unlawful decision by the Bucha District Council, and the 3,000-hectare Bilychansky Forest was returned to the Kyiv community.
Also, after nearly five years of legal proceedings, a complex of historic buildings dating from 1830 to 1910, located in the historic part of Podil at the foot of Zamkova Hill, was returned to the Kyiv community.
