A fire at a market in the Darnytskyi District was extinguished

On the morning of August 15, a fire broke out at a market in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi District. The fire engulfed metal market stalls, and firefighters extinguished it in less than half an hour.

 

Rescue workers received a report of the fire on Ismail Gasprinsky Street on Saturday, August 15, at 7:05 a.m. Metal kiosks were on fire at the market. The fire spread over an area of about 100 square meters. Rescue workers quickly arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire. By 7:34 a.m., the fire had been completely extinguished.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, there are currently no reports of injuries. Law enforcement officials will determine the cause of the fire. It is not yet known what exactly caused the fire. Rescue workers remind the public that in the event of a fire, it is important to notify emergency services as soon as possible and not to attempt to enter buildings engulfed in flames on your own. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region, on the night of August 15, Russian drones damaged buildings at a shoe factory. Following the strike, the cafeteria, boiler room, and a car caught fire, and the administrative building was also damaged. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

Russian forces carried out 971 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. Forty-two settlements came under fire, and two people were injured as a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district. There were also 44 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure.

Since the evening, Russian troops have attacked three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times. As a result of the strikes in Marhanets, a three-month-old boy was killed, and 11 other people were injured, including two children. During the attack, the Russians used drones, artillery, and an aerial bomb.
