In Kyiv, a 20-year-old drug dealer was sentenced to 9 years in prison for wholesale drug trafficking

In Kyiv, a 20-year-old man was found guilty of illegally acquiring and possessing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with the intent to distribute them, as well as of selling them in particularly large quantities.

Based on the public prosecution brought by prosecutors from the Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Kyiv, the court sentenced him to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The defendant set up a warehouse for narcotic and psychotropic substances at his home, which he sold via parcel lockers throughout Ukraine. He left the prohibited substances in stashes for residents of the capital.
 

Approximately 2.5 kg of cannabis, 1 kg of PVP, 200 g of amphetamine, 100 g of 4-MMS, and equipment for drug use, weighing, and packaging were seized from his home.

The prosecutor proved in court that the defendant had purchased the narcotic and psychotropic substances for the purpose of distribution, as some packages already had designated recipients, as evidenced by relevant records.

The court sentenced the defendant to 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. The man remains in custody.
