Drivers in Kyiv were fined for parking in spaces reserved for people with disabilities
Parking spaces for people with disabilities are intended to ensure accessibility and comfort for people with special needs, not for the convenience of other drivers. Traffic safety inspectors, together with representatives of the veterans’ association and a specialist on veterans’ issues from the Kyiv Police Department, conducted inspections near shopping centers. During the operation, they assessed the condition of the designated parking spaces and held drivers accountable who had parked their vehicles there without legal justification.
The Kyiv Patrol Police reminds the public that parking spaces marked with the “Parking Space” road sign, accompanied by an additional sign 7.17 "Persons with Disabilities" or road marking 1.35, are intended exclusively for the personal vehicles of persons with disabilities or vehicles transporting persons with disabilities.
Parking in such spaces without proper authorization is prohibited. A fine of 1,020 to 1,700 UAH is imposed for this violation.

This was reported by the Kyiv Patrol Police.
