In Kyiv, State Emergency Service rescuers saved a pet cat while working in a damaged apartment. The emergency responders went up to the apartment to help the residents retrieve their most essential belongings and found the frightened, fluffy cat among their belongings.
The cat had hidden in the apartment, trying to find a safe place after an enemy attack. Rescuers carefully carried it out of the dangerous building and returned it to its happy owners.
The State Emergency Service emphasized that every life matters to rescuers—not just human lives, but animal lives as well. Stories like this from Kyiv serve as yet another reminder that even in the most difficult times, there is still room for kindness and compassion.
