Nearly one million cubic meters of sand were illegally extracted near the Holosiivskyi Nature Reserve

Over the past ten years, approximately 1 million cubic meters of sand may have been illegally extracted on the grounds of the “Vitagrad” cottage community near the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park. According to journalists’ estimates, the value of the extracted minerals could range from 350 to 700 million hryvnias.

According to the authors, the developer, KT “Vitagrad,” expanded artificial reservoirs using dredgers, which led to the destruction of at least three hectares of agricultural land. It is also alleged that the sand extraction was carried out without the necessary permits, land-use documentation, or an environmental impact assessment.

The investigation notes that the company’s director, Anatoliy Prylipko, is implicated in at least ten criminal cases, including those involving illegal sand extraction and activities on seized land plots. The authors also note that in 2026, he was temporarily disbarred.

In addition, the journalists drew attention to the operations of the “Neptune” resort, which, according to their information, continued to operate despite the seizure of the land plot. The report also mentions the developer’s alleged ties to representatives of law enforcement and judicial authorities.
