In Kyiv, nearly 1,200 families have lost their homes as a result of Russian shelling. The city provides them with monthly financial assistance to cover rent until the damaged buildings are fully restored.
According to Marina Khonda, deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, since the beginning of 2026, the capital has already allocated nearly 250 million hryvnias in financial assistance to those affected by Russian attacks.
Following just four massive Russian attacks in July, another 224 families were forced to leave their homes and seek temporary housing.
