Fares on most minibuses in Kyiv will increase starting August 1
Starting August 1, new fares for minibuses will take effect in Kyiv. On most routes, the fare will increase to 25 hryvnias, and on routes where the fare is currently 10 hryvnias, it will cost 20 hryvnias.
According to Igor Moiseenko, head of the Association of Transport Operators of Kyiv and the Kyiv Region, the decision is due to rising fuel prices, higher costs for spare parts and maintenance, as well as a severe shortage of drivers.
The situation was further complicated by changes to the rules for exempting employees from mobilization and the reluctance of some drivers to work on routes that pass through checkpoints.
Private carriers made the final decision to revise their fares on July 30.

Kyiv has implemented only 6% of its Resilience Plan, although funds remain in the city budget to prepare for winter.
The Kyiv City Council will consider amendments to the capital’s budget that provide for the return of 1.25 billion hryvnias to the city budget to fund measures to prepare the city for winter.
