A woman who struck a soldier with a bottle was detained in Kyiv
On May 22, Kyiv police detained a woman who, according to law enforcement officials, struck a soldier on the head with a bottle. The incident occurred after the soldier had reprimanded her. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, and an inquiry is underway.
This was reported by the Kyiv Police Communications Department.
As noted, this happened on Thursday in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital.
“A 52-year-old soldier, returning home after duty, reprimanded an intoxicated woman and her companion, who were behaving loudly and swearing inside a trolleybus. In response, the young people started a fight, and later, at a public transport stop, the 18-year-old woman struck the victim on the head with a bottle,” the statement reads.
According to law enforcement officials, as a result of the attack, the man sustained bodily injuries in the form of a contusion of the soft tissues of the head.
In addition, medical professionals preliminarily diagnosed a closed head injury. The victim refused hospitalization.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A notice of suspicion is being prepared for the girl.
In addition, police have filed administrative reports against the offenders under Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism) and Article 175-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (smoking tobacco products in prohibited places).
