Bad weather has been battering Kyiv and the surrounding region for the third day in a row: thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds

Severe weather has persisted in Kyiv and the Kyiv region for the third consecutive day—the region has been hit by heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds.

Forecasters have issued a Level I (yellow) weather advisory and warned that the weather conditions could disrupt the operation of the power grid.

In the capital, the downpour was accompanied by strong gusts of wind. In the Darnytskyi district on Veresneva Street, a tree fell onto a parked car, uprooted along with its roots.

Due to the tree falling on the overhead power lines, the funicular’s operation was temporarily suspended.

In the Kyiv region, specifically in Vyshhorod and the surrounding area, hail fell. Due to heavy rainfall, flooding was reported in some areas, particularly on Naberezhna Street in Vyshhorod.

Due to the bad weather, emergency power outages are possible due to damage to power lines.

Residents are urged not to park their cars under trees or advertising structures, to close their windows, and to avoid staying near metal structures and large trees.
