Vitvitskaya, 46, spoke for the first time about how she unexpectedly found out she was pregnant

Well-known Ukrainian TV host Solomiya Vitvitskaya, who is about to become a mother, spoke candidly about how she unexpectedly found out she was pregnant

The star admitted that at first she attributed her feeling unwell to the aftereffects of a medical procedure and stress.

“Last December, I underwent septoplasty—to straighten my nasal septum—and the surgery was performed under general anesthesia. My recovery was very long and difficult. At the time, I thought my cycle had been disrupted by a reaction to the anesthesia or stress. I was truly convinced that my body had simply malfunctioned,” she noted.

Modern technology—specifically a chatbot that the host consulted for advice while at work—played a decisive role in confirming her pregnancy.

When her usual lunch made her feel nauseous, Solomiya decided to describe her symptoms to the AI, which advised her to take a pregnancy test.

“I was sitting at work when I started feeling nauseous. At 3 p.m., I usually go to eat because I have evening broadcasts afterward, and to keep myself from raiding the fridge later, I always have lunch… Lunch didn’t sit well with me that day; I didn’t feel any better. I started chatting with GPT, described my symptoms, and it told me, ‘You need to take a test,’” recalls Vitvitska.

The evening brought definitive confirmation, as the TV host’s health rapidly deteriorated due to the onset of classic morning sickness.

Her partner, Alexa, in turn, admitted that he had sensed the changes coming, but the surprise that Solomiya had planned for the holidays happened much earlier because of their joint testing.

“By evening, I was feeling really bad. Classic morning sickness had set in. And Alexa decided that, somehow, he sensed that I knew what was going on, but that I just wanted to surprise him on Valentine’s Day or on his birthday on February 25. But he went to get tested anyway. So we all found out together. The surprise didn’t work out for him, unlike for me,” the star added.

The host also emphasized the difficulty of the first trimester, which was accompanied by extremely severe morning sickness.

She expressed her sincere support for all women going through similar physical challenges, stressing the importance of support from loved ones during such a delicate time.
