Actor Yasinovsky complained about Nova Poshta employees over their language
Ukrainian theater and film actor Roman Yasinovsky reported an unpleasant incident involving employees of “Nova Poshta” in Kyiv. According to him, the men used profanity in Russian and later began mocking him for speaking Ukrainian and because his car was registered in Lviv.
As the actor explained, the incident took place near one of the company’s branches. Yasinovsky attempted to drive around a “Nova Poshta” vehicle that was parked nearby, but the driver allegedly responded with profanity in Russian.
The actor noted that he addressed the man in Ukrainian and calmly asked what exactly he had done wrong. After that, according to Yasinovsky, the situation escalated, and another employee joined the conflict.
Later, the men noticed the license plate on the actor’s car. Yasinovsky claims that after they saw the Lviv registration, they began mocking him for speaking Ukrainian.
“It’s all clear—he speaks Ukrainian, so he must be crazy because he’s Ukrainian,” the actor quoted the men as saying.
Yasinovsky recorded a video message in which he called on “Nova Poshta” to look into the situation. He also provided the license plate number of the car and the branch near which, according to him, the incident took place.
The actor emphasized that the issue of language remains particularly important during a full-scale war with Russia. He urged Ukrainians not to be ashamed of their language or their identity.
As of the time of publication, “Nova Poshta” had not publicly commented on the actor’s statement.
