Alis: From X Factor to the Eurovision Grand Stage
Alis will represent Albania in the second Eurovision semi-final today. He is a young artist who has quickly risen from television competitions to major festival stages and national recognition, according to the official Eurovision website.
His music is driven by emotion, sincerity, and simple stories about life, family, and love, which he presents through a contemporary pop sound. Alis has been involved in music from an early age, mastering the piano and guitar, which allowed him to experiment with styles and gradually develop his own sound. He gained widespread popularity after winning the fifth season of X Factor Albania, which served as the starting point for his successful career.
After that, the artist began working actively in the Albanian music industry and quickly established himself as one of the new powerful voices of his generation. “I always try to sing in a way that brings truth to the song,” the artist said.
In the 63rd edition of Festivali i Këngës, he performed the song “Mjegull” and took third place, which further heightened interest in him. The very next year, Alis returned to the competition and won with the song “Nân,” definitively cementing his status as one of the country’s leading new artists.
There have been virtually no major scandals surrounding the singer, although some music critics have occasionally noted that his style remains fairly traditional for the pop scene, without radical experimentation. However, his fans, on the contrary, consider this his strength, as Alis focuses on emotion and melody rather than complex production techniques. His songs are often described as “very personal,” and the artist himself makes no secret of the fact that he draws inspiration from his own experiences and family stories.
Today, Alis will perform thirteenth in the second Eurovision semifinal. A total of 15 contestants will take the stage to compete for a spot in the contest’s grand final.
