Daum devoted an episode to violence in the West Bank — Jerusalem Post
In Israel, comedian Hanoch Daum devoted a new episode of the series Life Is a Difficult Age to the topic of the so-called hilltop youth and violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. As the Jerusalem Post reports, at the end of the episode, Daum's character calls the masked attackers evil and says they do not represent the settler movement.
Episode plot
In the story, Daum's friend Rafi learns that his son wants to spend the night at a friend's farm in the West Bank, where there are no adults. Rafi and Daum go to pick up the boy and meet a group of young settlers.
At first, Rafi speaks approvingly of their farming and construction. However, after an argument, the group's leader calls Rafi and Daum Nazis. The young men also joke about the murder of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, call National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir a leftist, and speak disparagingly about the army.

Attacks in the series
In one episode, a young man brings a donkey that Daum's character believes was stolen from Palestinians. He also learns about an attack on an Arab village where Ali, the contractor who built his house, lives.
Later in the plot, the young men cover their faces and throw stones and Molotov cocktails at an Israel Defense Forces patrol. Ali recounts an attack on Palestinian residents, including an elderly man. Daum's character asks a rabbi to influence the young men, but they turn against him.
At the end of the episode, Daum addresses the camera and calls for distancing oneself from the small extremist minority because of its grave actions. The review's author noted that she would like to see a more detailed depiction in the series of physical attacks on Palestinians and people who help them, as well as more attention to the rare detentions of those involved in such attacks.
