Stan Lee's voice is making a comeback thanks to artificial intelligence

Stan Lee's heirs have signed a deal with a technology company that will recreate the legendary Marvel creator's voice using artificial intelligence. His “digital voice” will be used to narrate books and other media projects created after the author’s death.

The initiative has generated significant interest in the cultural and tech communities, as it combines the legacy of a classic comic book author with the modern capabilities of AI.

The project is being carried out as part of a collaboration between Stan Lee’s heirs and ElevenLabs, a company specializing in voice synthesis. Archived professional recordings of the author were used for the recreation, allowing the digital model to closely match his actual tone and intonations. Stan Lee, who died in 2018 at the age of 95, became one of the most influential creators of the Marvel Universe and a symbol of modern pop culture during his lifetime.

The first project will be the Stan Lee Book of the Month Club, which will launch with an audio version of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel *Treasure Island*. Over the next year, the company plans to produce audio versions of 11 more books, each of which will be presented in a style reminiscent of Stan Lee’s signature delivery. The company is also exploring the possibility of using his voice in other digital content formats.

Separately, Stan Lee’s voice will be available on the ElevenLabs Iconic Voice Marketplace, where users can license famous voices for use in their own projects. In addition, there are plans to add a digital likeness of the author, which will allow for the creation of virtual cameos similar to those he made himself in Marvel films.

The company emphasizes that the project is aimed not only at commercial use but also at preserving cultural heritage. Representatives of Stan Lee Universe note that during his lifetime, the author actively supported the idea of new ways to engage with fans and always sought to be closer to his audience.

“Stan always believed in meeting fans where they are,” said Stan Lee Universe representative Chaz Rainey, emphasizing that the new format is in keeping with the creator’s spirit. Deadline reports on this.

As a reminder, a handwritten letter from actress Jennifer Aniston to the late Matthew Perry will be put up for auction along with other personal items belonging to the “Friends” star.

In France, a fragment of the Eiffel Tower’s original staircase was sold at auction for 450,000 euros. It is part of the historic structure that once connected the floors of the legendary “Iron Lady.” The lot had been in a private collection for over 40 years and caused quite a stir among collectors.
