Liniker to perform in Rio de Janeiro with Bye Bye Caju farewell tour
Brazilian artist Liniker will perform in Rio de Janeiro on August 22, 2026, as part of the Bye Bye Caju farewell tour. The concert will take place at Farmasi Arena in the Barra da Tijuca district: doors will open for spectators at 17:00, with the show scheduled to begin at 20:00. According to The Rio Times, the concert will feature a band of 25 musicians and ten dancers from Balé Caju Negro.
The tour is dedicated to the album Caju, which, according to the publication, won three Latin Grammy awards in 2025. Some tickets for the concert are still available through Eventim, but seats in the Cadeira N3 sector have already sold out. Discounted tickets in the Cadeira N1 sector start at 322.50 Brazilian reals, while dance floor tickets start at 347.50 reals; the full price for a dance floor ticket is 695 reals.
Samba and forró in Lapa
Several concert venues will operate in the Lapa district that same evening. Rio Scenarium on Rua do Lavradio will welcome visitors from 20:00 to 03:00. The program includes Grupo Mvúka at 20:30 and Flávia Saolli at 23:30.
Carioca da Gema will open at 20:30, while the main set by Andrezão do Cacique, with a program dedicated to the 91st anniversary of Candeia's birth, will begin at 22:00. Admission costs 35 reals. Rio Scenarium and Carioca da Gema are located about 600 meters from each other.

Also in Lapa, Flávio Venturini will perform at Circo Voador at 20:00. Mari Roots and Trio Forrozão are scheduled to take the stage at Fundição Progresso at 20:00, while Trio Nordestino will play at Clube dos Democráticos at 21:00.
Bossa nova in Copacabana and Ipanema
At Blue Note Rio in Copacabana, Celso Fonseca will present the Tudo é Bossa program in two sessions, at 20:00 and 22:30. The program includes the musician's original compositions, as well as works by Dorival Caymmi, Baden Powell and Vinícius. Discounted tickets start at 60 reals.
At Vinícius Bar in Ipanema, Cris Dellano will perform a bossa nova program at 20:00. A concert by Victor Biglione and Marcos Ariel is scheduled for the same time at Cave Music Lounge in the Leme district. The publication notes that a car trip between Barra da Tijuca and Lapa can take about an hour.
