Maltese pop star AIDAN takes the stage at Eurovision

Maltese pop star AIDAN takes the stage at Eurovision

AIDAN will represent Malta in the second Eurovision semi-final today. He is an artist who, in just a few years, has become one of the country’s most recognizable pop figures and has transformed the local scene into a stage for major shows, according to the official Eurovision website.

His journey is a story of rapid growth, consistent hits, and a large concert audience that continues to grow every year.

AIDAN rose to fame with the songs “Naħseb Fik” and “Ritmu,” which topped Malta’s radio charts and garnered millions of streams on streaming platforms. In 2023, he released his debut album This Is AIDAN, and in 2025, he released the EP Wild, Wild, Wild, which cemented his status as a contemporary pop artist. “I want my music to sound live and honest, regardless of the size of the stage,” the artist said in an interview.

Live performances are a significant part of his career—AIDAN is known as an artist who engages with the audience and creates the atmosphere of a major show even at festival venues. He has performed alongside international stars at the Isle of MTV concert and headlined major events, including EuroPride.

The highlight of his career was the AIDAN THE SHOW concert, which drew an audience of about 10,000 and set a record for a solo artist in Malta. There were no major scandals surrounding the artist, although the media occasionally discussed his rapid commercial success and shift in sound from a more indie aesthetic to a mainstream pop format—some critics viewed this as a compromise, while fans called it an evolution.

The artist himself has repeatedly emphasized that what matters most to him is the connection with the audience, not genre boundaries.

Today, AIDAN will perform fourteenth in the second semi-final of Eurovision. A total of 15 contestants will take the stage to compete for a spot in the contest’s grand final.
