Noah Bettan from Israel is getting ready to take on Eurovision

Noah Bettan is one of the young artists who has been rapidly gaining popularity in Israel recently. He is hailed as the new voice of a generation thanks to his emotional songs, heartfelt lyrics, and unique style. Today, the singer will represent his country in the semifinals of Eurovision 2026, according to the official Eurovision website.

Noah was born in Israel to a French family. Because of this, he grew up immersed in two cultures—French and Israeli. The artist himself has often said that this has had a profound influence on his music, style, and worldview. Noah began making music while still in school. At first, he wrote songs “for himself,” but later started posting snippets on social media. That’s where producers noticed him.

His first major success came with the song “Buba.” The track quickly went viral on TikTok and Spotify, and the artist began receiving numerous invitations to appear on television and at major festivals.

In 2023, Noa released his debut album, Me’al HaMayim. Many listeners took note of just how personal the lyrics turned out to be. The artist spoke openly about loneliness, fears, the search for self, and complex relationships with people. “I don’t want to sing about things I haven’t experienced,” Noa said in one of his interviews.

A wide audience learned about him after his appearance on the popular Israeli show HaKokhav HaBa. It was his victory in the 12th season of this project that earned him a ticket to Eurovision 2026. There was no shortage of controversy surrounding the artist either. After a sharp rise in popularity on social media, Noa began to be criticized for his overly emotional style and the “depressing” atmosphere of his songs. Some users believed that the singer was deliberately cultivating the image of a “sad hero” to attract attention.

In addition, his political statements sparked debate on several occasions. During an interview, the artist called for “less hatred and more humanity,” after which online discussions erupted about his stance on events in the Middle East. Noah himself tried to avoid direct politics and said he wanted to unite people through music. “For me, music is a place where people can stop fighting, at least for a little while,” the singer said.

The artist’s fans say his main strengths are his raw emotions and highly recognizable voice. That is why bookmakers are already naming him one of the potential favorites for his semifinal. The Israeli team is keeping the details of the performance under wraps for now, but it is known that the act will be built around atmosphere, lighting, and powerful vocals without a lot of stage props.

The Eurovision 2026 semifinal will take place today, featuring 15 contestants. Israel’s representative, Noa Bettan, will be the tenth to take the stage.

The organizers of Eurovision 2026 have explained the contest’s voting rules.

Eurovision organizers issued a warning to Israel for violating the voting rules.

Moldovan artist Satoshi will be the first to take the stage in today’s Eurovision semifinal. In just a few years, he has gone from a young man from a small town to one of Moldova’s most prominent young musicians, and his name has been the subject of heated discussions on more than one occasion.

Swedish singer FELICIA will be the second to take the stage in the Eurovision semi-final today. The artist has long been known in Sweden, but previously performed under a different stage name—Fröken Snusk—which has sparked controversy and heated debate on more than one occasion.

The Croatian band LELEK will perform in the Eurovision semi-final today with their song “Andromeda.” The group has become a real sensation in Croatia thanks to its blend of folk motifs, electronic music, and modern pop sounds.

Greek singer Akylas has become one of the youngest and most talked-about participants in Eurovision 2026. The artist rose to fame thanks to TikTok and now represents Greece on Europe’s premier music stage. Today he will perform in the contest’s semifinals as the fourth act.

The Portuguese band Bandidos do Cante has become one of the most striking discoveries of Eurovision 2026. The group combined traditional singing with modern pop music and quickly became popular in Portugal. Today, the band will perform in the second semifinal of the contest as the fifth act.

The Georgian group Bzikebi, which once won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, has returned to the contest stage. The group, which many remember for their “bee” costumes and song in a made-up language, now represents Georgia in the adult Eurovision Song Contest.

Finland is represented at Eurovision 2026 by an unusual duo—pop singer Pete Parkkonen and world-renowned violinist Linda Lampenius. The artists come from completely different musical worlds but have joined forces for this major performance at the contest.

Tamara Živković is one of the young artists who has been the talk of the Balkans lately. The singer from Montenegro quickly gained popularity thanks to her powerful vocals, emotional performances, and distinctive style.

Vanilla Ninja is a band well-remembered by fans of 2000s music. The Estonian group was once a true sensation in Europe and has now returned to the spotlight thanks to Eurovision 2026.
