Madonna put on a surprise concert in Times Square to celebrate Pride Month

American pop star Madonna made a surprise appearance in Times Square in New York City, dedicating the concert to the start of Pride Month.

The artist organized the show in collaboration with the social app Grindr. During the performance, she performed songs from her upcoming album Confessions II, as well as several hits from the iconic album Confessions on a Dance Floor, which was released in 2005.

In particular, she performed the songs “Hung Up,” “Get Together,” and “I Love New York” for an audience of thousands.

According to eyewitnesses, Madonna turned the heart of Manhattan into an impromptu open-air nightclub. For the performance, the singer chose a striking stage look featuring a pink corset, shorts, thigh-high stockings, and silver boots.

The concert was broadcast on the big screens in Times Square, allowing thousands of New York residents and visitors to watch it.

The performance was also part of the promotional campaign for her new album, Confessions II, scheduled for release on July 3. The upcoming album will be a follow-up to one of the most successful albums of the singer’s career and her first studio release since 2019.
