The Eurovision winners visited Kyiv and performed a song by Nazariy Yaremchuk
The winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, the Swiss band Nemo, visited Kyiv to support their colleague Jerry Heil.
Jerry Heil wrote about this on Instagram.
During the Ukrainian singer’s solo concert on April 4, the foreign guests stunned the audience with a surprise performance.
The highlight of the evening was a joint performance of Nazariy Yaremchuk’s legendary song “Invite Me Into Your Dreams.”
The lyrics for this song were written by Bohdan Stelmakh, and the music was composed by the renowned composer Volodymyr Ivasyuk. The audience in the hall greeted Nemo’s appearance and their singing in Ukrainian with thunderous applause.
To flawlessly perform this complex Ukrainian song, Nemo prepared meticulously backstage. Photos have appeared online showing the artist studying the lyrics written in Latin letters (transliteration).
This approach allowed the Swiss performer to accurately reproduce the phonetics and mood of the Ukrainian classic.
Jerry Heil and Nemo have maintained a friendly relationship since the contest in Malmö, where the Swiss won with the song “The Code.”
