Singer Leleka revealed the cost of her performance for Eurovision in Vienna
The budget for Ukraine’s representative to perform the song “Ridnym” is $300,000, which is in line with the expenses of Ukrainian delegations in previous years. So far, the artist has managed to raise 93% of the required amount from sponsors, which is approximately $280,000.
This was reported by Novyny.Live.
The funds are intended for creating a large-scale performance featuring visual effects and symbolic elements of Ukrainian culture. The stage production includes a performance by bandura player Yaroslav Dzhus and complex lighting solutions that transform the space during the performance. The singer’s look is complemented by a white dress made of a special fabric that changes color to a deep red in the finale through video projections.
Leleka personally sought out funding, sending requests to donors even while traveling to Austria. According to the artist, a significant portion of the budget was covered thanks to the support of private sponsors. Ukraine will perform in the second semifinal of the contest, where she will present an updated version of the performance, prepared following her victory in the National Selection.
