Bogdan Benyuk's son has joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The 29-year-old son of People's Artist of Ukraine Bohdan Beniuk—Bohdan-Hordii Beniuk—has joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Actor Serhiy Kalantay announced this in an interview with journalist Alina Dorotyuk.
According to Serhiy Kalantay, he learned about Benyuk’s son’s decision personally during a conversation with the actor in the theater dressing room.
“I’m sitting in the dressing room with Bohdan Mykhailovych Beniuk and recently found out that his younger son has gone to serve. He, who has defended his doctoral dissertation. His two sons-in-law and his son are serving. That’s quite a feat!” Kalantay said.
The actor also praised his colleague’s family’s stance and their upbringing.
“We can talk not only about Benyuk the actor, but also Benyuk the citizen. I want to tip my hat and say that he raised good people,” he added.
Before mobilization, Bohdan-Hordii Benyuk worked in the creative field: he was involved in voice acting, planned to pursue a career in production, was studying in graduate school, and had defended his thesis
Earlier, social media users discussed that the actor’s son had continued his studies during martial law. However, according to Kalantay, the Benyuk family now includes his son and two sons-in-law serving in the military.
The People’s Artist of Ukraine himself has repeatedly expressed his patriotic stance in public and emphasized the importance of the Ukrainian language and education.
In particular, he urged Ukrainians not to ignore the Russian language in public spaces and emphasized the importance of the language environment in education.
