VIDEO: Sixth-grader performs with a typewriter and becomes a social media sensation

Sixth-grader Boris Dyachenko captivated social media users with an unusual musical performance on stage at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. The young musician played a part on a typewriter as part of a symphony orchestra.

A video of the performance was posted by pianist Olga Krychynska, who teaches the boy. According to her, Boris is performing a piece by American composer Leroy Anderson, in which a typewriter is used as a full-fledged musical instrument.

The schoolboy not only presses the keys in time with the orchestra but also uses the characteristic sound of the carriage as part of the musical accompaniment.

The performance took place alongside the symphony orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine under the baton of conductor Volodymyr Sirenko.

The video quickly gained popularity on social media and garnered hundreds of positive comments. Among those who praised the young musician’s talent was singer Svitlana Tarabarova, who called the performance “amazing.”

Earlier, Ivo Bobul publicly defended Taisiya Povaliy and Ani Lorak, who had moved to Russia and later supported her position. The singer believes that conditions were created in Ukraine that made it impossible for them to continue their careers.

After People’s Artist of Ukraine Ivo Bobul justified his fellow countrywoman Ani Lorak’s move to Russia by claiming that she was allegedly prevented from working in Ukraine, the singer herself—who is accused in Ukraine of betraying her homeland—also echoed this version of events.
