DTEK has restored power to 600,000 households following the storm
DTEK’s power engineers have restored electricity to more than 600,000 households that lost power due to severe weather.
The company reported this.
It is noted that 270 emergency crews worked continuously to address the aftermath of the squalls and heavy rains.
The Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were hit hardest. There, power engineers restored 705 overhead lines and over 12,500 transformer stations.
DTEK emphasized that it continues to work on improving the power grid’s resilience to weather conditions.
Europe is implementing a new plan to address the energy crisis, which calls for further reductions in electricity consumption and the active promotion of the “green transition,” a move that could negatively impact industry and the general public. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasizes that “the cheapest energy is the energy you don’t use.”
On January 22, in Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Vinnytsia Oblast, during a protest against frequent power outages, an incident occurred in which the head of the regional power grid was injured.
