PrivatBank once again failed to sell Dnipro Arena at auction
The auction for the sale of the “Dnipro-Arena” stadium and the former training facility of FC “Dnipro” was once again canceled. Both properties belong to the state-owned PrivatBank.
This is confirmed by data from the Prozorro.Sales system, which reports that no participants showed up for the auction on October 6, and the auction did not take place.
The starting price for the property was 140.7 million UAH, excluding VAT.
The sale of Dnipro Arena is part of the strategy and operational plan for managing “problem” assets that are not used in the bank’s core business.
Along with the stadium, PrivatBank put up for auction a training facility for soccer players and an adjacent soccer field.
The properties previously belonged to Ihor Kolomoyskyi. PrivatBank became the owner of the stadium because it had been used as collateral for loans taken out by the bank’s former owners. Following nationalization in 2016, the property became the property of the state-owned PrivatBank.
