President Trump disclosed more than 1,100 securities transactions — CNBC

US President Donald Trump disclosed 1,156 securities transactions carried out on his behalf in July. Their total value, according to calculations by CNBC Top News, was approximately between $79 million and $270 million.

The largest transactions were sales of Microsoft and Amazon shares on July 20, worth between $5 million and $25 million in each case. Three days later, the disclosure listed purchases of Microsoft shares worth $100,001–$250,000 and Amazon shares worth $1,001–$15,000.

Transactions involving technology companies

On the same July 20, the sale of Oracle shares worth $1 million–$5 million and the purchase of Nvidia shares worth $500,001–$1 million were disclosed. On the same day, shares of Intuit, Marvell Technology, Salesforce and Church & Dwight were added to the portfolio, with each position worth $1 million–$5 million.

The disclosure also includes the sale of shares in defense company Northrop Grumman worth $250,001–$500,000 on July 20. On that day, Trump signed an executive order strengthening requirements for the supply chains of defense contractors and limiting exceptions for certain critical materials from China and other designated countries. The document does not contain the time of the transaction and does not specify who made the investment decision.

Bonds and exchange-traded funds

Transactions involving exchange-traded funds also took place in July. On July 8, the filing listed purchases of shares in four funds, including the State Street SPDR Bloomberg International Treasury Bond ETF, Fidelity MSCI Communication Services Index ETF, Vanguard Short-Term Bond Index Fund ETF and Vanguard Dividend Appreciation Index Fund ETF. The value of each transaction was between $1 million and $5 million.

On the same day, shares in the iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF, State Street Communication Services Select Sector SPDR ETF and iShares International Treasury Bond ETF were sold, also for $1 million–$5 million for each position. In addition, the filing lists purchases of municipal and other bonds, including two issues of Miami-Dade County aviation bonds, bonds of the St. Louis County school district and Main Street Natural Gas.

The White House said that Trump’s stock and bond portfolio is independently managed by third-party financial institutions, and neither the president nor members of his family can influence investment decisions or the timing of asset purchases and sales.
