Domino boutique owner Anton Shukhnin sues Dnipro City Council over downtown property

Domino boutique owner Anton Shukhnin found himself in a legal conflict with the Dnipro City Council. The businessman accused local authorities of unlawfully seizing a rooftop property in downtown Dnipro that he owned. Court documents show the property’s size exceeds 300 square meters.

Shukhnin explained that he used the space to store clothing and other materials related to his fashion business. However, the city council reassigned the building for municipal use without his consent, prompting him to file a lawsuit. The case was later reviewed by the Dnipro Court of Appeal in 2021.

According to Shukhnin, the dispute has lasted for years as similar attempts to appropriate his property had occurred before. Court filings indicate the issue extends beyond a single building and involves several properties tied to Domino’s operations in Dnipro, Kyiv, and Odesa.
