A resident of Volyn paid back more than 5 million hryvnias in unpaid taxes
A resident of the Lutsk district fully reimbursed the state budget for more than 5.1 million hryvnias in unpaid taxes and fees, and additionally donated 100,000 hryvnias to support the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the investigation, between 2019 and 2025, the man sold unfinished construction projects in the Volyn region for cash. When finalizing the transactions, he declared and paid mandatory taxes only on the income from the sale of land plots, effectively concealing the value of the real estate located on them from taxation.
During the investigative actions carried out by detectives from the Volyn Regional Branch of the State Bureau of Economic Security, the losses incurred by the state were fully compensated. In light of this, prosecutors filed a motion with the court to exempt the man from criminal liability in accordance with the requirements of criminal law.
