The Rada was unable to pass the law on the National Security and Defense Council and adjourned the session early

The Verkhovna Rada did not support Bill No. 14298 on amendments to the law on the National Security and Defense Council after three indicative votes.

The bill stipulates that in the absence of the NSDC secretary, his or her duties would be temporarily performed by a deputy.

During the session, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Oleksandr Kornienko called for a trial vote three times, but the deputies failed to secure the necessary number of votes.

As a result, consideration of the issue was postponed to the next plenary week, scheduled for April 7–10. The parliamentary session ended early.

On Friday, the Verkhovna Rada will hold a question-and-answer session with the government, during which Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev will speak.

As a reminder, on March 24, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not hold its scheduled plenary session, despite the presence of a number of important bills on the agenda.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine summoned National Bank Chairman Andriy Pyshnyy to a session due to the situation involving the disclosure of a Monobank client’s personal data. The initiative was supported by 153 deputies.
