Zelensky is not sure whether Witkoff will come to Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he is currently unsure whether US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is ready to visit Ukraine in the coming days.
He announced this during a joint press conference with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin in Dublin.
Zelenskyy recalled that a conversation between the Ukrainian and American teams had already taken place on 1 December, and that they are currently awaiting the results of the American-Russian negotiations.
‘If there is a feeling that we can count on real results, and not just words, then Ukraine is ready for a meeting,’ the head of state said.
He added that he was not ready to disclose the details of the 20 points that the Ukrainian and American delegations had worked on in Geneva and Miami. Zelensky noted that three issues remain the most sensitive: territory, frozen assets, and security guarantees from the US, Europe, and other countries. He stressed that the teams would continue to work on these issues.
We will remind you that US Special Representative Witkoff will fly to Moscow today.
