Agyemang-Badu calls for disclosure of Queiroz’s contract — MyJoyOnline
In Ghana, former national team midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu called on the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation to disclose the terms of Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz’s contract. In his view, without information on the length of the agreement and the goals set for the coach, it is impossible to fairly assess his work.
Call for transparency
Agyemang-Badu, who previously won the U-20 World Cup with Ghana, said he does not know whether Queiroz’s contract is for one, two or three years. He asked the football association and the relevant ministry to disclose the duration of the agreement and the tasks set for the Portuguese specialist.
The former footballer noted that without this information, it is difficult to understand whether the coach is expected to deliver quick results or will be responsible for a long-term rebuilding of the team. According to him, the contract term makes it possible to assess whether the manager had enough time to build a competitive national team.

Agreement after the World Cup
As MyJoyOnline reports, Queiroz was appointed Ghana national team coach in April 2026 under an initial agreement covering the World Cup period. At the tournament, the team reached the round of 32, where it lost to Colombia.
On September 2, the Ghana Football Association confirmed that it had agreed a new coaching mandate with Queiroz after the World Cup. However, the duration and terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The national team’s next test will be qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. On September 24, Ghana will play Côte d’Ivoire in Bouaké, host Gambia at a stadium in Accra on September 27, and play a friendly against Morocco in Tangier on October 4.
