Former Romanian national team player died tragically while on vacation
Former Romanian national team soccer player Gabriel Mureșan died at the age of 44 while swimming in a lake. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy, and the soccer community is expressing its condolences to the athlete’s family and loved ones.
Muresan drowned while swimming in a lake. Rescuers pulled him from the water and took him to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save the former soccer player’s life.
While playing for CFR, Mureshan won two Romanian league titles. He played nine matches for the Romanian national team.
Mureșan ended his professional career in 2017.
