In Kocaeli, Turkey, France forward Kylian Mbappé suffered hyperextension of his left knee during a Nations League match against Turkey. Madrid’s Real reported this after examining the footballer, Channel NewsAsia reports.
Injury in the match against Turkey
Mbappé left the France national team camp after being forced to end the match early, in which France defeated Turkey 1-0. The forward scored the only goal of the match, after which he received medical assistance.
The 27-year-old footballer briefly returned to the pitch, but a few minutes later was again on the ground and was unable to continue the match. France head coach Zinedine Zidane substituted Mbappé in the 58th minute of his first match in charge.
